The Bucheon Cultural Foundation's Next Generation Professional Arts Support Program, Young Artist S, was launched in 2017 with the meaning that anybody ('Somebody') can be active as a young artist in Bucheon. In 2023, approximately 50 young artists applied, and 13 artists across visual and performing arts were selected.

While the works in Ribbon City possess diverse genres and colors, they do not settle in one place. Instead, they traverse the notes of tradition, modernity, and the future. Connected and touching like a RIBBON, they are REBORN, embodying thoughts on the here and now. These artists resonate together within the fluid environment of the modern CITY.

Intersecting with one another, they create unique sensations and detect new symptoms within changing daily life, while also longing for and capturing the archetypes of nature. Within the same city, we touch each other and live through the present. We invite you to Ribbon City, where we are connected like a ribbon, warmly embracing the audience.
