<Capture urban Nature, CHOWONJI Artwall> is the flagship installation embodying the essence of the 'Acoustic Remodeling' technology proposed by the virtual partner, 'ChoWonJi Architectural Office.'
This work utilizes a unique kinetic screen mechanism composed of 36 linear actuator motors and elastic fabric. The screen's surface rises and falls organically in sync with the movement of nature in the video, endowing the 2D imagery with tangible volume and physical depth. The projection mapping displayed upon it manifests high-resolution virtual landscapes generated by AI derived from Busan's urban noise.
The floor features a simplified cartography of Busan marked with data collection points, while a high-performance depth camera (Orbbec Femto Bolt) mounted above the screen tracks the viewer's position in real-time. The system calculates the data collection point closest to the viewer's current coordinates and instantly displays the nature imagery—such as forests or oceans—derived from the noise of that specific location. Through this interaction, the audience actively experiences the process of a gray city being reborn into green nature following their footsteps, synesthetically experiencing the possibilities of the futuristic space designed by ChoWonJi Architectural Office.
