<Hang Music in Days, CHOWONJI Object 1, 2, 3> are installation objects presented within a space reminiscent of a model house (showroom), encapsulating the atmospheric essence of the living spaces proposed by the virtual firm 'ChoWonJi Architectural Office.'
This work extracts subtle musical elements hidden within ambience data collected from Busan's nature and reinterprets them into visual structures. Breaking away from traditional 2D notation that merely records pitch over time, the artist devised a new form of musical score that captures the movement and flow of energy within the 3D space where the sound originates.
Comprising three themes—Sea, Forest, and Plains—the work is realized through a layering technique using stacked transparent acrylic panels. Vinyl sheets attached to each layer trace the trajectory of sound, while the depth created by the accumulated layers translates the sound's volume and density into visual mass. By converting invisible sound into tangible materiality, these objects symbolically reveal the sensory lifestyle pursued by ChoWonJi Architectural Office.
